Worth knowing

The smaller Ty lines have always worked well as low-cost gifts: stocking fillers, party bags, reward charts, or the sort of small present you pick up without planning to.

Picking a size

Beanie Bouncers sit apart from the rest of the Ty range because they are built for active play. They are around 10cm across, roughly palm-sized, and the rubber core means they need a bit of open space. For a child who wants something purely to cuddle, a regular Beanie Boo is the better fit.

Care instructions

Surface wash only: wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then allow to air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can damage the fabric and the eyes.

Who makes it

Ty has been making collectible plush since 1986 and remains one of the few toy brands children recognise by the tag alone. The red heart-shaped swing tag is the quickest way to tell a genuine Ty product from a lookalike, so it is worth leaving on if the toy is being collected rather than played with.
