Cruiser is a turtle from Ty's own cast of characters rather than a licensed one, which means Cruiser is only available through the Ty range. Every Ty character carries its own name on the swing tag, and collectors tend to hunt for specific ones rather than buying at random.

The smaller Ty lines have always worked well as low-cost gifts: stocking fillers, party bags, reward charts, or the sort of small present you pick up without planning to.

How the sizes compare

Beanie Puffs are among the smallest things Ty makes, round and squishy rather than shaped like a seated animal. At roughly 10cm they are pocket-sized, which makes them easy to take out and about but less suited to being a main cuddly toy.

Care instructions

Keep it clean with a surface wash, spot-cleaning with a damp cloth and a little mild detergent and letting it air dry naturally. Machine washing and tumble drying are not recommended.

About the brand

Ty has been making collectible plush since 1986 and remains one of the few toy brands children recognise by the tag alone. The red heart-shaped swing tag is the quickest way to tell a genuine Ty product from a lookalike, so it is worth leaving on if the toy is being collected rather than played with.
