Shopping, Sorting and Storytelling

Play food is one of the most versatile pretend play toys. Children sort items by type, count them out, make shopping lists and plan meals, all valuable early learning. Role playing shopkeeper and customer builds social and language skills. Combine with the Shopping Cart and General Store Till for a full supermarket. Unpacking the shopping into a play kitchen also teaches sorting and organisation skills.

Perfect For

The Supermarket Grocery Set makes a great birthday or Christmas gift and an easy way to refresh an existing play kitchen. It suits children who love cooking, café games and helping in the real kitchen. Combine it with other play food, kitchen and shop sets to build a complete pretend play corner where siblings and friends can cook, serve and shop together.

About Tender Leaf Toys

Tender Leaf Toys designs its wooden toys in the UK and makes them from rubberwood harvested from trees that have reached the end of their latex-producing life. The result is a range with a soft, illustrated look and a sturdy build that suits busy playrooms and hand-me-down families.
