A five-room wooden dolls house in dusky pink, decorated with floral motifs across a plywood front. Ten windows sit across the front and side panels, each with shutters that genuinely open and close. The front panels swing wide for full access to the first and second floors, and the roof lifts away to reveal an attic above.
The details here are working parts rather than paint. Shutters open. Windows open. The roof comes off. Wooden steps run between floors and a central divider splits each level into rooms, so a child can move a doll through the house properly — up the stairs, into a bedroom, out onto the landing — instead of simply placing figures on shelves.
Dolls and furniture are sold separately. The house arrives empty and needs furnishing — which is part of the appeal for many families, since it's filled gradually over birthdays and Christmases. Self-assembly is required, and the finished house is substantial: 68.6cm wide, 74.2cm tall and just over 10kg. Measure the space before you buy.
It's one of the richest forms of imaginative play a child can have. Children rehearse real life inside it — mealtimes, arguments, bedtimes, visitors — and in doing so build language, empathy and social understanding. It's also one of the few toys that genuinely lasts from three years old well into primary school, because what changes is the story, not the toy.
Adult assembly required. Please follow the age guidance and warnings printed on the packaging.
