The most distinctive feature of the Texas Longhorns is, as the name suggests, the long horns that are curved to the fore. These can reach a length of up to 2 metres. This breed was threatened with extinction around the 1920s. Today, it is kept in Texas mostly because of its lean meat.

The horns of a Texas Longhorn bull can reach a length of more than 1.20 metres.

The Schleich figures are modelled with attention to detail, hand-painted with care, and provide educationally valuable playtime. Texas longhorns have the longest horns of any cattle. The first signs of the horns can be seen at the age of just three weeks. The horns grow sideways out of the head and twist slightly at the tips. By around the time a bull turns one, its horns will already have grown to around half their adult length.
