The magnificent Hyacinth Macaw looks just great with its cobalt-blue plumage. Its tail feathers are really long. When it spreads its wings, it has a wingspan of up to one meter! This makes it the largest parrot in the world that can also fly. That really is a sight to see! 

The beautiful Hyacinth Macaw has bright blue plumage with golden yellow skin around its beak and eyes. It contrasts beautifully with the iridescent plumage!

Hyacinth macaws can be found in parts of Brazil, eastern Bolivia and northeastern Paraguay. Unlike most parrots that prefer tropical rain forest habitats, hyacinth macaws prefer lightly forested areas such as palm swamps and flooded grasslands.
