Djeco Similix Silhouette Card Game - Speed & Observation Game

This silhouette card game is a fast-paced test of sharp eyes and quick fingers. In Similix, players race to find the silhouette card that matches the picture just turned over. It's ideal for 2 to 5 players aged 4 and up, and games take about 10 minutes.

How to play Similix

The silhouette cards are laid face up in the middle of the table. One player flips the top picture card, then everyone searches at the same time for the silhouette containing exactly the same objects. Spot it first, place your finger on it and call out "Similix!" to win the picture card.

It sounds easy, but the silhouettes are cleverly similar. A wrong guess means sitting out the rest of the round, so speed has to be balanced with care. The player holding the most picture cards at the end wins.

Skills it develops

• Visual discrimination and attention to detail
• Reaction speed and focus
• Patience and self-control after a mistaken guess
• Fair play and turn-taking in a group

A great pick for mixed ages

Because no reading is required, younger children can hold their own against older siblings and grown-ups. Rounds are quick, the rules take a minute to explain, and the small box travels well for holidays or rainy afternoons. A clever little gift that brings plenty of laughter to the table.

Tip: for younger players, give them a head start by letting them search for a few seconds before everyone else joins in.
