These balance stilts for kids turn every step into a stomping animal adventure. Pattoons are a pair of paw-shaped stilts with adjustable ropes that children hold as they walk, testing their balance with every stride. Designed for children aged 4 and up.

How Pattoons balance stilts work

Children step onto the two stilts, hold the ropes taut and lift each foot in turn to walk along. The rule is simple: put a foot on the ground and you're out. Siblings and friends can turn it into a challenge, timing each other around an obstacle course to see who finishes fastest.

The cotton ropes can be lengthened or shortened to suit your child's height, and the non-slip soles give a steady footing indoors or out.

Benefits of balance play

  • Builds balance, coordination and core strength
  • Develops gross motor skills and body awareness
  • Encourages active, screen-free play
  • Great for party games, races and backyard challenges

Indoors, outdoors, anywhere

Pattoons are light enough to toss in the car for the park and sturdy enough for the school yard. They suit a rainy-day hallway just as well as a sunny lawn. A fun gift for energetic kids who love to move, and a lovely way to burn off energy together as a family.

Tip: set up a simple course with cushions or chalk lines and time each lap to keep kids motivated as their balance improves.
