Learning From the Masters

Exploring a real artist's work helps children see that art can be imaginative, emotional and rule-breaking. Chagall's dreamy style gives kids permission to paint flying people, colourful animals and impossible scenes. Gouache gives rich, opaque colour that is satisfying to work with. Talk together about the original artworks to extend the activity.

The In a Dream gouache set makes a wonderful birthday or Christmas gift for budding artists, and a great addition to a home art station. It suits kids who love painting, drawing and experimenting with colour.
