ARK Therapeutic Right Bite Feeding Therapy Tool

The ARK Therapeutic Right Bite is a feeding therapy tool designed to help individuals who have difficulty visually judging food and taking an appropriately sized bite. Invented by Jaci Dale, MS, CCC-SLP and developed by ARK Therapeutic, the Right Bite allows a prescribed, manageable amount of food to be presented during feeding therapy.

Simply slide a cookie, cracker, cucumber slice or similar food item into the larger opening until it protrudes from the smaller semi-circle opening. Adjust the bite size to match the individual's skill level and mouth size, then apply gentle pressure to the insignia areas to secure the food item before presenting it.

The Right Bite presents only a portion of food at a time. This allows individuals to practise appropriate bite sizes and supports pacing the rate of eating to allow for adequate chewing time.

How It Works

Insert the food item into the opening until it extends from the smaller semi-circle opening. Once the food is positioned, apply gentle pressure to the insignia areas to secure the food before presenting the Right Bite to the individual.
