800 Pound Gorilla Card Game - Family Party Game

800 Pound Gorilla is a fast-paced family card game for 2-6 players aged 8 and up, playable in 10 to 15 minutes and made by Dolphin Hat Games, the studio behind Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza.

How the game plays

Players take turns spinning the spinner, and the spinner decides what everyone does. Land on a gorilla and you race to grab the correctly sized gorilla card - which is harder than it sounds, because the sizes are close enough that your eyes will argue with you. Land on a banana or a coconut and you resolve the action or phrase on the card first, then dive for the wooden coconuts and foam bananas in the middle of the table. There are never enough to go around.

The player holding the most banana points when the gorillas or the cards run out takes the game. Rules are explained in about a minute, which is the point: this is a filler and a party game, designed to be taught to someone who has never played and finished before anyone loses interest.
